Course Highlights

June 2023 Update.  Great example of a well priced mid-upper level course.  Greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in good shape, particularly for a municipal facility.  At the time of this review there were many areas of turf repair due to new irrigation system but this should be a short term issue. Otherwise course was in typical good shape.  Lots of moderate elevation changes, sand traps, and marshes.  Trees on every hole tend to discourage spray and pray driving but we did not feel they were unreasonable tight.  Excellent privacy and zero housing along the fairways.  Large full practice range, sand and wedge area, plus nine-hole par 3 with a couple longer par four holes.  Snacks, beer, and some golf equipment avail.  Note that carts do not have GPS.

Condition*

8.5

Greens, fairways, hazards, and tee boxes are in great condition.  Some discoloration on many fringes but didn't interfere with play.  The course overall is maintained better than many municipal run facilities.

Playability

8.6

Greens on the faster side have lots of undulation that feels fair in terms of speed.  Interesting fairways and hazards have variety and make a person think about their shot.  Fantastic privacy on many holes and zero housing throughout.

Visual Impact

8.7

Excellent visual appeal stems mainly from use of elevation, trees, water, and the feeling of truly being out in nature on most holes.  This course punches above its weight (price) in this area.  Some discoloration on fringes this year.
