Course Highlights

9/18/21 - PLEASE NOTE THIS COURSE IS NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

The Ponds at Battle Creek is one of those rare nine hole courses that is more enjoyable to play than many championship 18 hole venues.  Although the course can be pretty challenging, it is very fair and does a good job balancing risk and reward.  Water hazards are ever-present along with well maintained greens and fairways.  The tee boxes also are surprisingly spacious and flat in contrast to many moderate budget courses.  The price is very fair and the full size driving range generally in great shape.

Condition*

8.6

This course is typically in excellent condition with well maintained greens and fairways along with large flat nice tee boxes and nicely trimmed sand traps

ponds 7

Playability

8.4

Surprisingly challenging for a 9 hole (slightly shorter) course due to several forced carries and plentiful water but very good level of risk/reward and not unfair.

Visual Impact

8.4

Very good looking course for a 9 hole that challenges or surpasses many full size locations.  Little bit of everything with moderate elevation, lots of water, a few trees and mounds, and medium level of sand traps
